Stop Waiting, Start Winning: Defeat Procrastination and Take Control of Your Life!”

Writer: Brother Levon XBrother Levon X

Procrastination is a silent killer. It’s a cancer that slowly eats away at our potential, leaving us with nothing but regret and unfulfilled dreams. But here’s the truth—it can be cured. Not with magic, not with excuses, but with principles rooted in scripture and discipline.

Many of us have ambitions, dreams, and desires, yet we hesitate. We wait for the “right time,” but the right time never comes. At the first sign of disappointment, rejection, or difficulty, we retreat. Worse yet, we allow naysayers—people who don’t even have the courage to tie their own shoelaces—to convince us that our dreams are impossible. But the truth is, it’s up to us.

We only get one life, and what we do with it is our responsibility. The potential to achieve greatness is already inside of us. The problem is, we don’t tap into it. We don’t put together a plan. We don’t take consistent action. And that’s why we stay stuck.

The Pushback is Inevitable—But So Is the Victory

Every dream comes with pushback, roadblocks, and distractions. Nothing worth having will come easy. But let’s look at those who succeeded—the 1% of society who are wealthy, successful, and living their dreams. Do you think they had it easy? Absolutely not. They faced hurdles, failures, rejection, and pain, but they kept moving. They treated success like a marathon, not a sprint.

At the start of a race, a runner is full of energy. The excitement is high. But as the miles add up, the body starts to break down. The legs hurt, the breathing gets heavy, and exhaustion sets in. But a trained runner doesn’t stop—why? Because they conditioned themselves beforehand. They ate the right foods, built their endurance, and prepared their minds for the challenge.

Condition Yourself for the Life You Want

If we truly want success—whether it’s in our health, our finances, our families, or our relationships—we have to condition ourselves just like a marathon runner. That means:

Feeding our minds the right information (reading, studying, learning from successful people)

Surrounding ourselves with the right people (no more doubters, complainers, or negative influences)

Building strong discipline (waking up early, putting in the work, staying focused)

Developing patience (understanding that success takes time and effort)

If we don’t prepare ourselves mentally, physically, and spiritually, we don’t deserve the reward. The size of our work ethic determines the size of our results. If we want more out of life, we have to give more effort.

Ask Yourself This:

• Do you want to be healthy? Then put in the work—eat right, exercise, and be disciplined.

• Do you want financial security? Then put in the work—save, invest, and build multiple streams of income.

• Do you want a strong family and relationships? Then put in the work—communicate, show love, and be present.

Strong people are not lucky. Strong people are prepared. Success doesn’t fall into anyone’s lap—it is earned through effort, consistency, and unwavering faith.

So, will you keep waiting? Or will you start running your marathon today?
