The Hidden Blessing: Are Black Professionals Being Fired a Sign to Build Our Own?”

The Time for Action Is Now: A Call to Build Our Own Future

Some may see Black professionals being fired or replaced in high positions as a setback. But what if it’s actually a blessing in disguise? What if it’s God’s way of pushing us toward something greater? Instead of mourning the loss of positions within a system that was never designed for us to thrive, we should view this as an opportunity to build something of our own.

Take, for example, President Trump’s abrupt removal of Air Force Gen. Charles Q. Brown as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff or MSNBC canceling Joy Reid’s show after five years. These events highlight a painful reality: No matter how gifted, intelligent, or hardworking Black professionals are, their positions remain at the mercy of a system that was never meant to sustain them long-term. So why do we continue fighting to sit at tables that will never truly be ours?

Instead of chasing validation from institutions that do not value us, let’s redirect our focus. The knowledge, experience, and brilliance of these displaced Black professionals should not go to waste. They can become the architects of a new reality—educators, leaders, and nation-builders who uplift our people without needing approval from a system that seeks to control and suppress them.

A Global Strategy: Learning from China’s Success

China has mastered the art of playing the global game. It leverages wealth and resources from both America and China to strengthen its economy and position itself as a world power. So why can’t we, as Black people, do the same? What if our brightest minds formed strong economic and educational ties between America and Africa, securing dual citizenship and investing in institutions that serve our own interests?

Instead of constantly seeking inclusion in spaces that treat us as expendable, we should build independent systems—schools, businesses, banks, and media platforms—where we dictate the rules. For too long, we have fought for a seat at tables that have no intention of feeding us. The game is over. Marching is not enough. The time for real application and execution is now.

Breaking Free from Political Dependency

The Democratic and Republican Party are not Black organizations . It is a crutch that keeps us on a hamster wheel, giving us just enough hope to stay in place but never enough power to move forward. No political party has ever been the solution to our liberation. Our ancestors—Marcus Garvey & The Honorable Elijah Muhammad—warned us time and again that we must build for ourselves.

We must put more faith in God than in a broken system and begin putting our knowledge into action. The blueprint has already been laid out. Those who succeed do not make excuses—they strategize, unify, and execute. The only thing preventing us from rising is an unwillingness to work as a collective. We must weed out the hypocrites and those who sell us out, keeping our ranks strong and disciplined.

The Path Forward: Building Our Own Systems

The foundation of our liberation starts with economics. We must prioritize:

Financial independence: Circulating wealth within our own communities.

Agriculture: Controlling our own food supply to ensure our survival.

Science and technology: Innovating and advancing to remain competitive.

So the question remains: How long will we wait? How long will we complain instead of creating? The time for talk is over. The time for action is now. It’s up to us to lay the foundation for generations to come.
