Our health journey doesn’t begin with a gym membership or a new meal plan—it begins with mindset and influence. One of the most overlooked factors in creating lasting change is the company we keep. Are the people around you lifting you higher or quietly pulling you back into old habits?
Your Circle Reflects You
We are a reflection of the company we keep. When we surround ourselves with motivated, goal-oriented individuals—whether in business, fitness, or spirituality—we often feel inspired to push ourselves as well. The energy of our circle becomes the atmosphere we live in. But here's the truth: Not every friend is a cheerleader.
Are They Helping or Hindering Your Health Goals?
Let’s be honest—sometimes, those closest to us can become barriers to progress. You may be working hard to change your eating habits, yet your circle continues to bring tempting foods around you. You might be trying to reduce smoking or drinking, but your environment keeps you tethered to the very things you’re trying to leave behind.
It’s not always intentional. Some people simply feel more comfortable around others who share the same vices. This comfort zone can become a trap—keeping everyone in a cycle of denial and distraction. It’s not about judgment. It’s about accountability. Growth requires honesty, especially with ourselves.
The Clock Is Ticking
We are witnessing more people suffering and dying from preventable health conditions before they reach 60. That is not old age. Many in their 70s, 80s, and even 90s are active and strong—because they chose accountability over excuses.
How many of us made health promises at the start of the year? Spring came and went. Now it’s summer—the perfect time to take action. Fresh fruits and vegetables are in season, the days are longer, and there are no excuses left. If we keep waiting for the "perfect" time, we’ll be stuck repeating the same promises every New Year.
It Only Takes 90 Days
It takes about 90 days to build a habit and see real change. That’s three months. If you had started when you first thought about it, where would you be now?
Getting healthy is not a burden—it’s a lifestyle. And if you’re reading this while still struggling with smoking, drinking, or poor eating habits, let this be your wake-up call. Don't make the pharmaceutical industry rich off your preventable suffering. Don’t let Medicare and Medicaid become your fallback plan when prevention could be your first defense.
Your Health, Your Leadership
Taking charge of your health isn’t just about you—it’s about your family. It’s about leading by example. Show them that living healthy has greater rewards than staying in unhealthy comfort zones.
We can do this. Let’s do better. This is why we continue this journey—together. Let’s develop the mindset that health is not a chore, but a blessing. Let’s prayerfully move toward plant-based living, even vegetarianism, so we can live longer, feel stronger, and think clearer.
Don’t let your circle become your ceiling. Surround yourself with people who remind you of your goals, not your excuses. Let’s rise together—with purpose, discipline, and love
