With so many supplements on the market promising weight loss, how does someone uneducated on the verbiage on the labels make the right choice? With any supplement, how do we know that our body will receive it? Well, what if we discipline ourselves to educate ourselves on the proper foods to eat, which includes the amount per serving and the health benefits of the foods that we eat?
Food and nutrition are a science. God has given us everything we need through fruits and vegetables.
Genesis 1:29 "And God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.
So why do we avoid the most important aisles in our food market, which is the outer part of most markets that contain fruits and vegetables that will lead to our success? Most of us, when we shop, we don't take into account that most boxed and canned foods contain unhealthy preservatives. How many of us read the labels or understand what we are reading?
This can go for supplementations as well. This is one of the reasons why so many people are disappointed when they finally decide to lose weight or become healthier. Most people rely on a supplement to do all the work without physical effort. On most supplement bottles, it says in small writing, "With proper nutrition and exercise, results may vary."
We can't escape doing the work when it comes to nutrition and exercise. Exercise doesn't have to be an inconvenience. Something as simple as walking or bike riding can be considered exercise. In an era of cell phones, television, and social media, sitting for long periods of time can cause weight gain. This prohibits our muscles and joints not to get the proper exercise necessary to make them strong.
Here's the good news! Exercising begins to work as soon as we begin! The body is designed for movement. A made-up mind to want and do better is the key to any successful program or lifestyle change.
Let's start today to make the changes we need to make for a healthier lifestyle. Excuses and laziness are cancer to our accomplishments.
