Dear Beloved Community,
There are times when we are called not to sit in silence but to speak, not to stand on the sidelines but to act. Right now, in the heart of Rock Hill, South Carolina, we are facing one of those moments. FARMacy Community Farmstop, a place built on love, healing, and community, is at risk of closing its doors. We cannot, and must not, let that happen.
This is more than a business. It is a vision brought to life by Brother Jonathan and Sister Crystal Nazeer—a vision rooted in faith, in culture, in health, and in hope. FARMacy was never created to serve just one group—it was created to serve every soul who walks through those doors.

FARMacy welcomes all walks of life. Whether you’re Black, white, Latino, Asian, young or old, rich or poor—this space was made for you. It was made for families who want healthier options. For elders who want a place of peace. For youth looking for guidance. For neighbors needing nourishment for the body and the soul.

FARMacy is a sanctuary in a world full of unhealthy options and empty promises. It offers fresh juices and smoothies, books and music, local produce and cultural nourishment. It is a place where you can have meaningful conversations, learn something new, or simply sit down and breathe deeply, knowing you are in a space that honors your humanity.
But now, this sacred space is struggling. Despite their best efforts, Jonathan and Crystal are facing the possibility that FARMacy may not survive. And if this business, born out of so much love and sacrifice, is allowed to close, we will lose more than a storefront—we will lose a piece of our hope, a piece of our progress.
This is a place that doesn’t just sell products. It invests in people.
It is painful to watch such a valuable resource struggle, especially in a time when health, unity, and healing are needed more than ever. We talk about wanting change in our communities—well, change starts here. It starts by supporting the very spaces that are created for our upliftment.
We must come together, not out of guilt, but out of love. Out of a shared understanding that spaces like FARMacy are rare, and their survival depends on us showing up—not just with our words, but with our presence, our resources, and our commitment.
This is not just a Black issue or a local issue—it is a human issue. Because when we lose places like FARMacy, we lose spaces that make all of us better. So let us rise, with clear eyes and full hearts. Let us support this dream, this mission, this ministry of nourishment. Visit FARMacy. Spread the word. Bring your family. Connect with them if you’re a local vendor or farmer. Help keep the lights on—not just for them, but for all of us.
