What better way to build with distinguished gentlemen than to walk alongside those who have faced life’s hardest trials? For every complex challenge, there are life lessons to share and inspire others.
During our usual Saturday walks, Brother Jamie speaks candidly about his war against drug addiction and how he overcame formidable obstacles. Addiction is easy to fall into, and many struggle to overcome whatever holds them captive—be it alcohol, narcotics, or any substance abuse.
One thing is certain: whatever we set our minds to stop doing loses its power over us. Brother Jamie emphasizes never giving ourselves negative titles, such as “addict.” When we claim a negative identity, we become what we name ourselves and our bodies react accordingly. If we claim greatness, we become great; if we acknowledge our beauty, we begin to love ourselves. Miraculously, this mindset shift can catalyze the transformation needed to overcome any addiction.
The power of the mind is magnificent. Only we can tap into the divine within, love ourselves, and understand that self-love is essential. By claiming abundance and believing in our worth, we can overcome any test life throws at us and reveal our true greatness.
